    FP&A Analyst: This position is located at Guardian World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI and supports the Americas region of the Guardian Glass business. This is a new role within the Americas FP&A team and reports directly to the FP&A Manager for the region, with extensive exposure to the regional VP and Directors of FP&A, Sales, and Marketing.


    The primary responsibility of this role is partnering with the business capabilities as an FP&A lead to drive profitable decision making and improved financial performance. This is accomplished through:

    • Regular and ad hoc reporting which leads to detailed, insightful analysis that drives profitable decision making
    • Improving future results by understanding key indicators and empowering the business with tools to improve knowledge and performance
    • Forecasting – monthly, annually and 5-year strategy with a willingness to challenge assumptions while providing forward looking indicators
    • Variance Analysis – understanding and explaining drivers of profitability related to the business, with a focus on the controllable factors
    • Data cleanup and ownership – this position will play a key role in improving and explaining data
    • Dashboard reporting – transforming outdated, static reporting to interactive, data driven, insightful and intuitive Power BI reports.
    • Contract Analysis – applying economic thinking and DCF analysis, to improve decision making on customer contracts

    • Technical Skills:
      • Financial Acumen:
        • P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement
        • Variance analysis
        • DCF analysis, utilizing NPV/IRR to drive decision making
      • Finance or Accounting Degree – Preferred, but for the right candidate, other degrees will be considered
      • Quantification – Ability to think creatively to simplify a decision or explanation down to a quantified value
      • Communication – Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to non-finance professionals
      • Excel – no surprise in today’s financial world, you must be strong in Excel
      • Power BI – experience with tools like Power BI and Tableau is major plus in this role
      • Experience working with large amounts of data

    Experience and Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
    • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
