    Our global procurement team is adding a Master Data Analyst - Procurement to the team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who is eager to work in a challenging environment doing Master Data Analyst work and Procurement Specialist work..!

     

    Responsibilities

    Responsibility 1: Master Data Analyst

    • Point of contact for IS and business to fulfill business requirements related to procurement & supplier master data
    • Support master data identification, documentation and harmonization
    • Support global item standardization
    • Incorporating UNSPSC coding into current Class/Subclass master listing
    • System gap analysis of business tools to support business transformation
    • Work with IT & business to define Master data controls/governance
    • Work with IT and cross-functional team to ensure plant preparedness for smooth system upgrades that meet business system transformation goals.
    • Ensure communication, knowledge-sharing and support related to master data

     

    Responsibility 2: Procurement Specialist

    • Point of contact for Procurement users to fulfill business requirements related to Procurement system
    • Manage local procurement activities (local need recognition, source option – RFQ, price & terms, Purchase order in line with process workflow)
    • Build strong relationships with internal customers to understand their needs in terms of quality, service, cost improvement and new specific projects in alignment with Lead Buyers & CMs
    • Work with users, IT and cross-functional team to solve system issues reported at Auburn Hills and regionally through Tier 1 issue resolution system.
    • Provide procurement training for all new users, necessary refresher training for current users.
    • Ensure communication, knowledge-sharing and support with procurement community and cross-functional team related to procurement.
    • Maintain strong working relationship with all departments/SME that own or have a hand in the ownership of procurement / master data components   - here or in the master data section. Maintaining these relationships are important as they are the people that help us in validating changes related to GLs, ABC, Class Treatments, etc. that come from different sources. This is important to reduce errors before they are made.
    • Maintain accurate and timely Procurement System administration (governance, users, class, subclass, defaults, approval chain, workteams,…)
    • Competent support for all users in Auburn Hills
    • Participate in testing of all day-to-day procurement tasks, new features and process changes within all new Procurement releases

     

    Experience, Skills, Knowledge:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics or Mathematics; master’s degree is a plus
    • Critical thinking skills, especially in analyzing and interpreting data
    • Strong customer focus
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word
    • Flexible work style, as demonstrated by the ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong interest in professional development and the willingness to participate in training sessions that allow rapid contributions to the team
    • Highly analytical and quantitative, with strong attention to detail
