    Mold Process Engineer



    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Provide injection molding process support to plant activities involving preparation and execution of detailed projects.
    • Design improvements relating to capacity, efficiency, process safety and environmental performance.
    • Investigate and identify new technology for ongoing injection molding improvements. Interface with advanced manufacturing teams to implement innovations and improvements in current and new processes.
    • Interpret customer requirements and specifications and include them in equipment specifications, follow-up on design, build, debug, tryout, acceptance and installation of process equipment and injection molding tooling.
    • Provide technical support to mold and other production functions.
    • Ability to work in teams to monitor unit operations, correct problems and assist in improvements for special problems or projects.
    • Assist in identifying root cause of problems as they arise from injection molding tooling to production builds.



    • Associate's degree in related field and/or related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Proficient in operating and troubleshooting multiple molding, as well as other manufacturing processes.
    • Verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficient in developing interpersonal relationships.
    • Highly motivated, self-starting individual who is comfortable working as part of a team.
    • Analytical problem solver with a mindset of continual improvement.
    • Ability to distinguish variation in product integrity as well as other defects.
    • Receptive to never-ending change.
    • At least 2-5 years of injection molding experience.
    • Windows based personal computer skills.
    • Must maintain high standards for work attendance and performance.
    • Must be willing to travel for work-related issues or training.               
    • Must be willing to work flexible schedule, extended hours and weekends if required to meet production requirement as well as special projects.


    Physical Requirements:

    • Lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion
    • Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures & perform work indoors/outdoors as needed
    • Frequently required to stand and walk; use hands to finger fine manipulation, handle, and feel; reach with arms and hands above head; talk and hear
    • Sometimes required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or sit
    • Specific vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
