    FEA Engineer

     

    The Engineering Department at SRG Global headquarters in Troy, Michigan is searching for a FEA Engineer professional with a passion for driving continuous improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness.

     

    The ideal candidate will possess the skills and knowledge sought below but, of equal importance, he or she will be self motivated, possess a positive attitude, and be a creative thinker.  This is a “hands-on” position that will work across the organization in a competitive atmosphere.  Working effectively with cross-functional teams is crucial for success.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Perform modeling of mechanisms for kinematics, dynamics and force analysis.
    • Participate in root cause investigations using CAE studies to identify and implement improvements and resolutions.
    • Correlate simulated results to empirical results.
    • Performs research, testing, data gathering, measurements, or engineering analysis in an office, laboratory or manufacturing environment.
    • Develop new analysis/simulation processes and techniques to support new customer (internal and external) requirements.
    • Use CAE to investigate and evaluate new design and product technologies.
    • Support product development projects related to cost reductions.
    • Provide weight reduction suggestions for programs.
    • Create reports that summarize the analysis results including potential solutions
    • Provide outsourced FEA support as required when local resources cannot meet demand and be sure that are executed according SRG Global Guidelines

     

    Qualifications:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Masters degree preferred)
    • 1 to 3 years of experience working with CATIA v5 – modeling plastic
    • Experience in Hyperworks products
    • Strong analytical capability to support the Product development and engineering needs.
    • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work independently and within group, good team player
    • Ability to work with external and internal customers to solve open issues
    • Ability to propose new design ideas and countermeasures to solve technical issues
    • Ability to work under pressure to achieve customer due dates – meet deadline

    Preferred Qualifications :

    • Masters degree in engineering
    • 2+ years of experience with Hypermesh, Hyperview, Nastran
    • Experience working with Hypermesh 3D and 2D meshing
    • CFD modeling
