    Responsibilities

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Guardian Industries is seeking an experienced Process Engineer with supervisory skills to join our Kingsburg, CA team. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes of the Hot End. This person will also be responsible for supervising 3 direct reports.

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure 100% compliance with all laws and regulations
    • Work cross functionally with various departments to maintain high level of product reliability throughout the operation.
    • Research, design, and develop processes to optimize productivity and workflow
    • Collect data for analysis to uncover areas for improvements and innovation
    • Apply statistical tools /RCA/5Why's to drive the decisions and to improve the process
    • Create and develop new procedures and processes
    • Analyze, evaluate, audit and test new and existing processes
    • Be the resource for knowledge of equipment design and intent
    • Facilitate the operating envelope
    • Evaluate process operation and troubleshoot failures
    • Develop / coach / mentor production operators
    • Own Job Hazard Analyses, LOTO procedures, Work Instructions, Management of Change as they relate to the process
    • Manage the inventory levels for material and equipment
    • Lead performance management and corrective action processes for direct reports

     

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering - Chemical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Ceramic background preferred
    • 2 to 5 years’ experience in a related position.
    • Manufacturing experience highly desired.
    • Experience with design, analysis, development of process improvement projects.
    • Ability to conduct design and process failure models and effects analysis.
    • Experience with complex projects - ability to analyze problems quickly - development of corrective actions.
    • Ability to interact with suppliers, and utilizing Procurement (purchasing system), and Praevenio (Maintenance and crib system)
    • Excellent communication skills and abilities including effectively communicating ideas, concepts and plans across multiple levels.
