    Guardian Industries is seeking a Shift Manager to join our Kingsburg, CA team. This position is responsible for leading the shift in maximizing long term value creation around Safety, Compliance, Quality, Customer Service, and advancing our MBM culture. This position is accountable for execution of process flow and development of people.




    • Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement the appropriate mitigating strategies based on the risk involved

    • Provide strong leadership in a manner that fosters participation in continuous improvement efforts, open communication and a principled entrepreneurship approach.

    • Implement operating procedures for all shift production activities

    • Maintain a standard of shift performance for plant operations

    • Establish priorities and allocate resources

    • Measure and track improvement in shift performance

    • Ensure that products are produced/delivered on time and are of good quality to the satisfaction of the customer

    • Conduct annual performance and compensation reviews for direct reports ensuring the application of the Individual Performance Development Cycle

    • Maintain a union-free workplace by establishing and demonstrating positive relationships with team members

    • Provide direction and leadership in the resolution of technical, production-related and quality problems to assure completion


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business-related field

    • Minimum of 3-7 years of supervisory experience working in a fast pace, high pressure, 24/7/365 manufacturing environment

    • Demonstrated success in measuring and improving processes to meet organization goals

    • Demonstrated experience in leading continuous improvement efforts

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Willingness and ability to work a rotating shift schedule

    • Ability to coordinate with other departments and managers and work as a team

    • Knowledgeable at maintaining accurate employee documentation and files

    • Proficiency using MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    • High energy and positive attitude
