    Responsibilities

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Manage all Guardian Industries Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) related systems and software to ensure optimum functionality, ease of user access, and metric visibility. Examples of current systems include, but are not limited to: EiOS, MSDS Online, SharePoint, Bloomberg BNA, and on-demand training software. Future systems may include Enablon and VTA for training assignment, execution, and tracking.
    • Own the relationship with software providers and internal IT resources. Drive collaboration that results in efficient, effective systems that meet the needs of the business.
    • Manage user access to ensure users have permissions appropriate for their role.
    • Develop audience-appropriate guidance and training for all EHS related systems and software.
    • Conduct training for users and respond to ad-hoc questions and requests for support from users.
    • Develop on-line training tools that are responsive to user’s needs for information and guidance.
    • Until an alternate process is developed, enter EHS audit report information (findings, corrective actions, and due dates) into the appropriate system (currently EiOS).
    • Create custom system searches that provide value to the business or the capability.
    • Track and analyze compliance audit findings, EHS data, and metrics (lagging and leading indicators) to identify trends.
    • Prepare ad hoc, quarterly and annual reports of EHS performance across all locations globally.
    • Organize and maintain the EHS SharePoint site content to increase value creation through improved user experiences, applicability of information and visual appeal.

    The qualified candidate will possess the following:

    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to interact, coach, mentor, and service internal customers.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to understand and analyze EHS data and communicate regarding trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Strong customer service focus and innate desire to understand and satisfy customer’s needs

    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, preferably in a safety or environmental related field. However, a degree in information technology is acceptable if sufficient experience in the fields of safety or environmental is present.
    • Five to ten years of experience in a safety or environmental field, with a strong focus on customer service.
    • Proven information technology experience and/or knowledge.

    Preferred Skills and/or Experience

    • Experience with EHS software including compliance management, audit management, incident management, data analysis and training
    • Experience producing EHS metrics reports for executive communication and other internal assessments.
