    •  The successful candidate will lead and supervise the local compliance team located in Katowice, lead the standardization process of local compliance tasks and ensure local accounting needs and statutory requirements are fulfilled: annual accounts preparation/review for entities in scope, coordinate preparation of CIT/VAT returns, property tax, statistic reporting, other country specific reporting.
    • The candidate will be initially responsible for ensuring proper transition of local compliance tasks from local legal entities (located in Germany, Poland, Hungary etc.) to local statutory compliance team. As well the candidate will coordinate statutory audits together with his/her team and liaise with other teams within GBS to support the audit process.
    • The candidate will be involved in complex reporting such as preparing/reviewing deferred tax packages, understand differences between MGT GAAP and Local GAAPs for entities in scope, as well will have the opportunity to absorb and develop specific local GAAP knowledge and requirements.

    • Higher education in economics, finance or accounting;
    • Min. 5 years’ experience in a similar position working with tax accounting based responsibilities;
    • Experience in a shared service environment to deliver compliance based services to multiple locations in different countries is an asset;
    • Team supervisor experience;
    • High analytical skills to draw meaningful conclusions and allow interpretation of results;
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel;
    • Independence and a very good organization of own work;
    • Able to communicate effectively at different levels in a matrix organization (local department, plant and regional capabilities);
    • Fluency in English and German is required, Polish is an asset.
    • Flexible to travel internationally when needed, as well as interest in mobility for potential future career opportunities
