    For our location in Thalheim, Germany, we are recruiting a Production Accountant. (there will be an initial 6-9 month secondment training period in Luxembourg, followed by permanent base in Thalheim).

     

    A Day In The Life Typically Includes

    • Scope of the role:

      • Monthly financial reporting under US GAAP following internal strict reporting requirements, deadlines and policies from US Head Quarters.
      • Financial Statements review; Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash flow. Prepared in collaboration with other teams in the wider finance capability based in other European locations.
      • Costs and profitability analysis.
      • Standard cost model preparation and variance analysis between standard and actual costs. Analysis of the cost drivers to products to improve decision making. Inventory valuation. Done in co-ordination with regional cost team.
      • Analysis and understanding of the different variables impacting operations and production processes. Control and Analysis of the economic impacts on the financials.
      • Maintain Group Financial Control expectations in the plant, supporting operations and other plant teams on understanding and maintaining an effective internal control environment.
      • Preparation and analysis of the financial information to support value maximization from decisions taken at plant level:
        • Support to Financial Planning and Analysis Manager on preparation and execution of economic performance review with Plant Management Team.
        • Identification of cost opportunities, active lead in controllable cost management with plant team.
        • Control and use of internal analytical group tools for decision making; S&P, Cost Model, Forecast Model, variance analysis.
        • Support in the definition and execution of the business strategy with focus on plant KPI’s, Annual Operating Plan and monthly follow up.
      • Collaboration with finance compliance team to facilitate both internal and external Audit processes.

      Qualifications:

      • Business administration and accounting educational background.
      • Preferable 2+ years experience in a manufacturing location with similar responsibilities.
      • Fluent conversational and written level of English, in addition German preferable.
      • Honesty, integrity and entrepreneurship
      • Open minded to work in a changing environment.
      • Excellent analytical capabilities, good sense for numbers and corporate processes.
      • Results orientated approach to work, team-player and desire to achieve and continually grow.
      • Advanced level of Microsoft Office, specifically excel.
      • Well organised.
      • Strong communication skills.
      • Driving licence.
      • Willingness to travel in the role within Europe for training, meetings etc
