    Responsibilities

    • Play key role in setting up the Account to Report function in the Shared Service Center
    • Expert knowledge and understanding of costing model applied in Guardian
    • Ongoing cost model maintenance (changes of key drivers/assumptions)
    • Finished Goods, Raw Materials, Work in Progress, Reserves (obsolescence, LCM) journal calculation and bookings
    • Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations
    • Maintain, enforce and enhance Guardian’s Desktop Procedures, including streamlining and improving the quality of inputs to Shared Services Processes
    • Ensure strong internal controls are established and maintained in the AtR activities
    • Thorough understanding of Plant operations
    • Assist in Annual Operating Plan – resource cost and production parameters updates in the model
    • Coordinate work of small team of independent, senior specialists

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing plant costing practices and models
    • Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and use technology to improve the efficiency of the team
    • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Ability to travel (up to 50%+ during transition period, 10% to 20% beyond)
    • Understanding and knowledge of glass manufacturing process is considered as a plus
    • Excellent communication and facilitation skills - capable of executing through others (influence vs. control)
    • Resilient in a fast-paced, changing environment
    • Demonstrated change/project management skills -- can effectively lead projects by establishing priorities, building and executing project plans, and delivering on commitments,
    • Proven ability of implementing best practices in a shared services environment
