    Responsibilities

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    Guardian Industries currently seeking a Reliability and Engineering Manager to join our Kingsburg, CA team. This position is responsible for leading the Engineering and Maintenance team in maximizing long-term value creation around Safety, Compliance, Quality, Customer Service, and advancing our MBM culture.  This position is also accountable for providing leadership and demonstrating a clear commitment to continually improving operations and advancing the culture.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage all activities within the engineering and maintenance department to include process improvement, design, equipment troubleshooting, project management, reliable and stable operations, capital expense project, cost savings, technical strategy, roadmap, and execution plan.
    • Build relationships with operations to improve customer focus and translates their needs into reliability activities.
    • Coach, develop and mentor a team of engineers and maintenance employees
    • Promote an environment where the team achieves zero incidents in Environmental, Health, and Safety.
    • Ensure projects are executed in legal, safe, and environmentally responsible manner.
    • Provide strong leadership in a manner that fosters participation in continuous improvement efforts, open communication and a self-directed team approach.
    • Support reliability initiatives and ensure the vision is being fully supported throughout the plant.
    • Collaborate with production ensure their needs are met in support of yield improvement and operational efficiencies.

     

    The background and experience requirements for this position are as follows:

    • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a technical related field. Business related field is secondary but acceptable depending upon related experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years’ supervisory experience working in a fast pace, high pressure, 24/7/365 manufacturing environment
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Reliability Engineering and Predictive Maintenance.
    • Demonstrated success in measuring and improving processes to meet organization goals
    • Demonstrated experience in leading continuous improvement efforts
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Willingness and ability to support a 24/7/365 manufacturing environment.
    • Demonstrated experience in leading positive employee relations in order to maintain a union-free environment
    • Ability to coordinate with other departments and managers and work as a team
    • Knowledgeable at maintaining accurate employee documentation and files
    • Proficiency using MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
