    Responsibilities

    The position will be responsible for the following:

     

     

    • Ensure that health & safety procedures and environment policies are followed and company guidelines are implemented
    • Provide strong leadership in a manner that fosters participation in continuous improvement efforts, open communication and a self-directed team approach.
    • Implement operating procedures for all shift production activities
    • Maintain a standard of shift performance for plant operations
    • Establish priorities and allocate resources
    • Measure and track improvement in shift performance
    • Ensure that products are produced/delivered on time and are of good quality to the satisfaction of the customer
    • Conduct performance appraisal with shift personnel to encourage improvement and growth with each individual
    • Maintain a union-free workplace by establishing and demonstrating positive relationships with team members
    • Provide direction and leadership in the resolution of technical, production-related and quality problems to assure completion

     

    The background and experience requirements for this position are as follows:

     

    • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business related field
    • Minimum of 3-7 years of supervisory experience working in a fast pace, high pressure, 24/7/365 manufacturing environment
    • Demonstrated success in measuring and improving processes to meet organization goals
    • Demonstrated experience in leading continuous improvement efforts
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Willingness and ability to work a rotating shift schedule
    • Ability to coordinate with other departments and managers and work as a team
    • Knowledgeable at maintaining accurate employee documentation and files
    • Proficiency using MS Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • High energy and positive attitude.
