We are currently looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant for our European Headquarter located in Bertrange, Luxembourg. This role reports directly to the accounting Manager and part of the Center for Excellence in Luxembourg.


  1. Ensure the preparation of Luxembourg financial statements compliant with local rules for Luxembourg entities and ensure the legal filing is properly finalized within legal deadline;
  2. Focus on internal tax reporting requirements and work closely with Tax SME
  3. Key facilitator with Koch capabilities for direct and indirect taxes
  4. Ensure corporate local external compliance requirements
  5. Local support for investment subsidies e.g. tax benefits and grants
  6. Assist financial reporting to ensure local GAAP requirements are adhered to
  7. Support functional and regional initiatives – including current ongoing system and financial structure projects
  8. Support the 7th directive European consolidation



Core Expectations:


1. Responsible that the locations’ external compliance requirements to ensure accuracy and filing deadlines are met:

  • Direct taxes – Tax provision, payments, and true-up entries required in the GL.
  • Indirect taxes – VAT reconciliation, control payments, and entries required in the GL.
  • External audit - coordination of planning, deliverables, and effective resolution of any audit points raised to reach a clean audit report.
  • Statutory accounts – preparation of accounts and all related documents through to filing.
  • Other local reporting required to local authorities e.g. government statistical reporting, bank reporting.

2. Prepare and support the locations’ internal tax reporting requirements including deferred tax accounting, local forecasting for tax planning or other needs.

3. All financial reporting reflects the appropriate local GAAP entries and adjustments to US GAAP for monthly P+L, B/S - Capacity to liaise directly with auditor and organise full coordination

4. Develop documentation support and bring control with adequate balance sheet reconciliation

5. Provide local support for any investment subsidies and subsequent reporting required after award.

6. Support regional and global accounting initiatives.




The successful candidate should:

  • Have relevant experience in similar roles (min. 3 years)
  • Have a University degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Possess following key skills:
    • able to deal with complex accounting concept, tax restructuring liquidation/merger
    • Tax awareness, work ideally on VAT Return and Tax return
    • Good understanding of Luxembourg local rules and aware of any new legislation updates
  • Be fluent in English and French (should be able to correspond officially with Lux authority e.g. Grant request, Tax correspondence, etc.)
  • Be aligned with Guardian’s corporate culture
