    NOTE: The location for this position will need to be at one of our North American Plants: (Richburg, SC) - (Geneva, NY) - De Witt, IA) - (Carleton, MI) - (Corsicana, TX) - or - (Kingsburg, CA).


    This is a senior level role with responsibilities for 6 North American plant, 2 plant in Brazil, and 1 in Mexico.  The successful candidate will provide leadership and planning for Furnace & Tin Bath rebuilds and repairs on a "regional" basis - meaning the "Americas".

    • Perform Furnace & Tin Bath audits and provide recommendations for maximizing performance
    • Provide support to plants on melting, forming, annealing and cutting of glass
    • Drive continuous improvement
    • Identify and facilitate the creation of best practices for maintenance and operations of float assets
    • Facilitate regional knowledge sharing
    • Troubleshoot float quality problems
    • Lead a team of individuals to drive performance in the region


    Job Requirements


    Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science or Mechanical Engineering

    • 10+ years’ experience in float glass manufacturing / engineering with significant experience leading rebuilds and repairs of float glass furnaces
    • Demonstrated experience leading a team of engineers and technicians
    • Demonstrated experience with problem solving tools, quality tools, Six Sigma and LEAN
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Minitab
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to read, write and speak English fluently
    • Willingness and ability to travel 50%+ regionally.
