Our Information Technology Capability is looking for the right Java Developer to work with the team that develops our robust corporate websites and large, mission critical, ERP system.

Responsibilities

Here is what you’ll get to do:

 

  • Be a member of a global, cross-functional, multi-cultural team of mid to senior level developers.
  • Undertake complex projects to enhance our Website and ERP products to meet sweeping business transformations.
  • Coordinate with architects, business analysts, and SMEs to understand and refine requirements.
  • Support product management in making appropriate business decisions and trade-offs
  • Work with a team that is committed to object-oriented analysis, design, and component based development
  • Use agile methodologies.
  • Program in an up-to-date development environment with continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Develop using the full Java stack including SE, EE, EJB, JSF, JMS, JPA and popular Web stack technologies including BootStrap, Javascript, JQuery, Angular, React, and SpringBoot
  • Maintain an awareness of new technologies and their applicability to improve the team’s products

 

Here is what you’ll need to be successful:

 

  • 5+ years of in-depth experience with object oriented programming
  • Facilitation and team-building skills. Ability to influence, train, mentor and leverage the skills of others, including business partners and cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with design patterns
  • Experience with reading and expressing ideas using UML
  • Experience in various software design paradigms such as MVC, DDD, SOA, etc.
  • Strong SQL coding experience
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies

 We value your experience with these technologies:

 

Client-side development:

  • Writing CSS and familiarity with tools like LESS or SASS.
  • Web component libraries like Bootstrap.
  • Templating tools like Thymeleaf.
  • Javascript and Javascript frameworks like JQuery, Angular, or React is a plus.
  • Thick client platforms like Swing and Java FX
  • Server-side development:
  • Java SpringBoot dependency injection framework. Specifically, experience with Spring-MVC, Spring-JPA, and Spring-Security.
  • Unit Testing and Mocking Tools.
  • RDBMS experience with SqlServer or MySql.
  • Stateless SessionBeans
  • JMS and Message Driven Beans
  • JPA
  • SOAP and RESTful web services, especially using tools like JAX-WS, JAX-RS
  • Experience with XML and Json, especially using binding tools like JAXB

Infrastructure skills:

  • Tomcat, WebLogic, or another server.
  • Configuring and running web applications on AWS.
  • Configuring Load Balancers, Firewalls, Proxies, and network management.

CMS skills:

  • Writing extensions, components, or other types of CMS enhancements
  • Creating content using a CMS
  • CMS configuration and support
