Responsibilities

  • Establish schedules in accordance with the overall sales demand and operational plan.
  • Recognize, manage and communicate capacity
  • Implement changes and process improvements.
  • Answer inquiries from the inside sales team pertaining to production status of an order.
  • Coordinate multiple production schedules to meet customer (internal and external) expectations.
  • Communicate schedule activities with operations staff, supply chain, and all necessary appropriate business functions.
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Provide support and communication between sales and production facility for schedule changes.
  • Communicates schedule to all plant personnel
  • Ensure schedules are aligned to meet customer demand while using lean principles to minimize aged inventory and follow a JIT
  • Track on time and full by schedule by department

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree (or relevant experience with demonstrated experience in production planning in a manufacturing operation). 
  • 2 to 5 years related experience in a similar capacity or role
  • Advanced communication and analytical skills, along with strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer services skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel), and experience with an ERP System.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, processes and requirements
