We are currently looking for a well-rounded Controls or Electrical Engineer who has demonstrated the abilities to design processes and equipment, manage capital, and optimize manufacturing processes to achieve better performance.

Responsibilities

Responsibility:

  • Support the 24/7 Float Glass manufacturing operation
  • Develop designs for electrical processes and equipment for new and existing facilities
  • Communicate with other associates to effectively coordinate the work
  • Supervise contract engineers, draftsmen, and CAD operators in the preparation of electrical drawings, specifications, estimates, documentation and other activities needed to accomplish project objectives
  • Ensure that drawings and specifications produced are accurate, clear, and concise
  • Regularly review the progress of projects during design, fabrication, and installation to ensure expenditures will not exceed the authorized amounts and that schedules are met
  • Maintain communication with all plants to provide consultation and assist in the solution of engineering problems
  • Manage and coordinate projects in the department, often directing other technical personnel in the process

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Registered Professional Engineer is preferred
  • 3-5 years of work experience as an Electrical engineer in a manufacturing
  • Demonstrated ability as a leader and the ability to influence others
  • Detail oriented with good facilitation, communication, computer, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical ability
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles of electrical engineering, programming industrial systems, and automation. Examples included PLC, HMI programming, drives and motion control systems, computer systems and networks, as well as electrical troubleshooting.
