We are presently recruiting for a Commercial Specialist who will thrive in this culture. This position will be located at our Troy, MI  facility.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Completes order entry and processing, inventory management, and updates pricing
  • Act as a project manager for larger projects identified and follow through until completion
  • Assist ADM and TSM’s with updating project and company information, ordering samples, generating performance calculations, running Guardian CRM reports and reviewing specifications as needed
  • Daily interaction with the outside sales force, providing pricing and product availability information, working together to meet customer needs and secure new business.
  • Daily interaction with product scheduling, prioritizing customer needs, managing customer requirements, and communicating customer quality concerns.
  • Identify problems and apply continuous improvement processes and methodologies to be able to counteract with solutions.
  • Work with outside sales and marketing managers on new and existing products to become product knowledgeable on Guardians vast array of value added product offerings in order to better service the customer needs.
  • Oversee all commercial fabricators for your region; perform all standard CAM functions, responsibilities, duties (place orders, maintain 60 day inventory, schedule deliveries, etc)
  • Enter / track commercial projects from start to finish via CRM, update CRM with shipment information, project status, etc.
  • Provide guidance to supply chain on what products are needed on all necessary substrates for commercial coatings

 

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Advanced analytical skills, including the ability to prepare and analyze databases and spreadsheets to make business decisions and recommendations to leadership
