    For our location in Goole, UK, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer for an immediate start. 


    •  Reporting into the Engineering Manager, this role will have a broad and strategic remit of responsibility tasked with driving a proactive approach to Engineering across the plant.
    • The successful Electrical Controls Engineer will work closely with their mechanical counterparts, Maintenance Managers and production teams in order to improve reliability and efficiency of the asset. They will be responsible for all electrical compliance and driving a modern approach to Health & Safety, mitigating against any potential risk. 
    • The individual will be involved in the sharing of knowledge and best practice with other Engineering teams within the group.
    • This 24/7, continuous manufacturing plant has invested heavily in a range of technologically advanced and exciting equipment. The Electrical Engineer will be involved in electrical compliance for the site and will have the skills and competence necessary to carry this out. They will also be involved in managing aging plant and obsolesce projects along with improving energy and electrical efficiency of the plant. The role will also have involvement with CAPEX projects within the business  



    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Degree qualified (ideally chartered) in an Electrical/ Electrical & Controls Engineering field
    • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent qualification (desirable)
    • Experience in driving electrical compliance in a similar, heavily regulated, manufacturing or process environment
    • Underpinning knowledge of electrical safety requirements & responsibilities as Electrical Duty Holder
    • Delivering improvements in plant efficiency and reliability
    • Experience in developing and leading improvements and capital projects for electrical and control systems
    • Knowledge and experience of managing maintenance and improvements HV/LV distribution systems and emergency generation/ UPS (desirable)
    • A strong, standalone, projects skill set
    • Ideally experienced in managing electrical assets and utilities relevant to hazardous areas in an Upper Tier COMAH site
    • Relevant exposure to a hazardous environment
    • A forward thinking and proactive approach to engineering
