Maintenance Planner



Guardian Glass is Guardian’s largest business and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of float, value-added and fabricated glass products and solutions. At our 25 float plants located around the globe, Guardian Glass produces high performance glass for architectural, residential, interior, transportation and technical glass applications. 



The Maintenance Planner will join a maintenance team charged with developing a proactive and forward thinking Maintenance culture across the Goole Float Glass Production plant.


Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, some of the responsibilities include

  • arrangement of Proactive Maintenance activities to ensure plant availability and achievement of KPIs,
  • arrangement of follow-up work and continual improvement activities.
  • Work with the Maintenance and Engineering Teams to establish safe systems of work for work arranged
  • monitor and measure performance and execution of the planned tasks.





  • Experience a Maintenance Planning role
  • Ideally qualified to HND level or higher in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in a similar, manufacturing environment
  • Computer literate with CMMS experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • It is advantageous to possess safety qualifications, such as IOSH managing safely.
  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing / Continual Improvement environment is desirable
  • Experience of Reliability Centred Maintenance is desirable.
