    Guardian Glass is Guardian’s largest business and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of float, value-added and fabricated glass products and solutions. At our 25 float plants located around the globe, Guardian Glass produces high performance glass for architectural, residential, interior, transportation and technical glass applications. 

    For our float glass plant in Goole, we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager.


    • Lead and Coordinate all Supply Chain operations according to Guardian Europe S&OP strategy at Goole’s location


    • Contribute to creating value for the business in following focus areas:
      • Warehousing and Shipping: implement plant warehousing strategies for raw materials, packaging and finished product; adapt warehousing capabilities to market complexity and product mix to improve customer service and increase our competitive advantage; execute shipping loading plan achieving highest service rate with the fewest possible resources; supply Fab lines on time making sure we optimize internal flow focusing on increasing output.
      • Procurement: leverage maximum value for the Goole site by getting the best offers (price, quality and lead time) from suppliers according to plant and corporate requirements whilst managing vendor performance
      • Planning and Scheduling: implement and monitor UK master planning in accordance with S&OP Strategy; cascade the master planning into schedule of production lines, raw material supply plan as well as shipping and warehousing capacities; Optimize float and coater lines schedule as well as production sequencing based on customer demand and production lines capabilities to ensure best customer service and efficiency of the production lines; improve customer service, increase productivity and reduce obsolete product risk
      • Transport Management: Implement and optimize transport strategies according to Regional Logistics guidelines to ensure best customer service at the lowest possible cost; optimize loading plans according to shipping constraints; maximize trucks capacity and intermodal transportation;
    • Manage a team of following direct reports: Warehouse Manager, Local Procurement and Scheduling Specialists
    • Drive operations in complete safety and compliance and report to the Plant Manager locally and to the Regional Supply Chain Director in dotted line.



    • You have a proven track record of experience and relevant skills in diverse Supply Chain functions: warehouse / inventory management, S&OP, logistics / transport, procurement, etc.
      • Plant exposure and warehouse management skills will be much appreciated.
    • You gathered experience as a team manager and have great team spirit
    • You demonstrate strong servant leadership and are able to drive change as well as continuous improvement
    • You have excellent communications skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
    • You are committed to continuously improving safety, quality and compliance.
